Pleasure of Presenting at The Shed
The Music Venue at The Shed is definitely a Blues Lover's Delight. However Entertainment Director, Brett Orrison, pushes the boundaries to convey the eclectic range of America's musical heritage including at times Zydeco, Bluegrass, Americana, Rock and Roll and Country.
Brett's knowledge of music stems from years of touring as a live sound engineer and mixing artist such as Pine Top Perkins, Hubert Sumlin, Joe Turner, Clarence Gatemouth Brown, Karl Denson, Pete Townsend, Kris Kristofferson and Galactic, to name a few. He has attended more than 400 music Festivals over the past nine years and was the sound engineer for the House of Blues in New Orleans for five years and is currently touring with Kenny Wayne Sheperd.
From the depths of the South, the ghostly swamps of Louisiana, from Chicago to California, Artists with impeccable pedigrees have graced the stage at The Shed BBQ & Blues Joint, leaving behind the footprints of unforgettable performances and incredible memories for the ShedHeds and their families.
In addition to the weekend performances, The Shed hosts the infamous ShedHed Blues Festival in late summer drawing Blues enthusiasts by the thousands. After the devastation of Katrina in 2005, they now host the Fear Not Festival the first weekend of hurricane season. Fear Not is a musical celebration to ward off the storms of the coming season. All events at The Shed are family oriented. Parents are encouraged to bring their children and share the sites, sounds and memories a music festival has to offer.
