This folks, is the chicken wing recipe we used to win the Frank's Red Hot Chicken Wing Contest at Memphis in May World Championship Barbeque Cooking Contest.So whether you are trying to win a world championship, be the king of the cul-de-sac, or just want some chicken wings try these out!
French Chicken Wing Flats and drummetes
Pre -Heat grill to medium heat (approx. 350-375d).
Rub Wings with The Shed BBQ's Cluckin' Awesome Chicken Rub
Grill wings until internal temperature reaches 155 degrees. Remove from grill, bring straight to fryer
Flash Fry wings in at 375 degrees until internal temperature reaches 165d and skin is crispy
Remove wings from oil and let rest on paper towels to absorb any excess oil (approx. 10 minutes)
Mix 3 to 1 ratio of The Shed BBQ's Original Southern Sweet ShedSpred and Spicy Agave Nectar
Toss wings quickly in glaze
Setting Glaze: *Place wings back on grill over indirect heat for approximately 5-10minutes or until glaze is tacky and sticks nicely.
