McFunk Duo

When not fronting their full band McFunk, Al McNab and Jef Funk scale things down to perform as McFunk Acoustic Duo playing various styles of blues, rock, outlaw country, folk and bluegrass.

Al is an accomplished blues and rock guitarist and vocalist, heavily rooted in the Gulf Coast music scene. Known for soulful guitar work and strong vocal presence, he plays across multiple bands, active collaborations, and dynamic acoustic setups throughout the region. He worked and toured with bands Strayt Jacket, Johnny No and Fillmore Revival.

Jef is an American blues and rock harmonica player and vocalist.

Affectionately nicknamed

"Thunderlips" by fellow musicians for his powerful harmonica blowing, he is actively involved in the Gulf Coast music scene, particularly around Alabama but also regularly tours the Rocky Mountain states with the band The High Hopes and has worked with many regional favorites such as Steve Varnes & The Lizards and…
